They can also be seen on the 1990 survey. The pier was constructed after the 1967. The photograph from this date and that from the 1961 survey have nothing in this location. A number of barges have been recorded at Gillingham from the Society for Spritsail Research publication ((NMR nos.TQ 76 NE 186-197 inclusive).
