They can also be seen on the 1990 survey. The pier was constructed after the 1967. The photograph from this date and the 1961 survey have nothing in this location. A number of barges have been recorded at Gillingham from the Society for Spritsail Research publication ((NMR nos.TQ 76 NE 186-197 inclusive).
