Full Description

"- struck on a rock near the Forth Foreland at midnight. Her captain and nine men took to the boats, leaving one man on board who refused to leave by choice. He lashed himself to the shrouds and from there saw his companions thrown into the sea when their boats capsized, drowning all the occupants. The vessel then drifted off towards the Goodwin Sands and foundered, the last crewman being saved by a passing vessel."
