`Deal, 7th Dec. The wind last night suddenly shifted from the NW to NE, and blew a gale, which still continues...' (1)

`Dover, 7th. We hear there are some vessels on shore at Dungeness.' (1)

`The REGINA, Quidry, from Richmond, Virginia, to Hambro, was driven on shore on Dungeness Beach, during the late gales, and only one man saved.' (2)
