Full Description
The Admiralty Court Case Papers record the salvage of the entire cargo of coffee and cocoa from the ship Eendraght. Thys Duike the master, bound from Suriname to Amsterdam the ship drove ashore 4 miles from Dungenness lighthouse and 8 miles from Rye. The salvage was achieved in 5 hour working stints as the tide permitted and with fear of the ship going to pieces.
