Full Description

Located 210m SE of Stede Hill House. Circular brick-built well with vertical sides, c3.65m deep, topped with a shallow domed roof covered by an earth mound. Brick steps down to the side wall of the chamber where a door is set 1.8m above the floor of the well. Construction date of the ice house unknown. Presently disused.(1)
