Full Description

Icehouse, formerly situated in a shrubbery near the Old House, the former Lushington family home now within Invicta Barracks, Maidstone. Domed roofed icehouse accessable by stone steps , the site now used as a childrens' playground. Ice was obtained from a lake fed by a hydraulic ram (location unknown). The date of construction and destruction of the ice house are unknown.
