Site od windmill on Hubbards Hill, Sevenoaks Common. Documentary reference to mill present pre-1669 and marked on Tithe map of 1840. Finch Coles suggests that mill was constructed in 1819 but does not feature on OS 1st Ed (1865) and has been replaced by a house with a circular area of land behind. This house replaced by the modern 'Windmill Cottage'. No evidence of structure remaining by 1933 and no earthwork to be seen in contemporary garden (visited 24/1/96) (1,2) A windmill refered to as being contructed in Panther's Park in 1587 (the Park's boundary is at the top of Hubbards Hill so this site would have been just outside it but may be the same but there is no definite evidence) (3)
