Full Description
Brickworks (site of) at Leigh TQ 5462 4630. Brickworks established before 1841 by Henry Fuller on a triangular area of land situated between Kiln Lane and Lower Green in Leigh village. Shown on 1841 tithe map to have 5 drying sheds. In 1851 employed 6 workers. The works changed hands twice before closing down in 1914, at which time it employed only 2 men. The site was subsequently built on. (1)
