Full Description

Railway bridge constructed by the South Eastern Railway in 1841 to carry the main line over the River Medway at a point between the village of Leigh and Tonbridge. Originally a timber viaduct it colapsed in 1846 (wrecking a train and killing the crew) and was replaced with the present brick bridge. (1)
