This structure is mentioned in the English Heritage report on the Second World Stop Line in the Hoo Peninsula, part of the wider Hoo Peninsula study. The report states: "A Second World War reinforced concrete Type 24 pillbox, narrow wall version in a field 300m west of Abbot's Court Farm, north of a farm road. Recorded on aerial photographs taken in May 1942 (RAF) and 2011 (English Heritage). (6)

Concrete type 24 pillbox facing E: narrow wall version with brick skin. In field 300m W of Abbot's Court Farm, on N side of farm road and W side of a stream, Hoo. (1)
The pillbox described in authority 1 is visible on aerial photographs taken in May 1942 and is still extant. It faces east towards an anti tank ditch (Monument 1542610), and is part of the supporting defences of a Stop Line (Monument 1542577) constructed in 1940 across the south western third of the Hoo Peninsula, from the north bank of the Medway to the south bank of the Thames at Higham Creek. This structure and the rest of the Stop Line defences have been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (2-3)
