Second World War industrial air raid shelter, consisting of three short lengths of concrete tunnel with an arched section built against the quarry face of the chalk pit on the north side of Galley Hill, Swanscombe. The tunnels were mounded over with chalk rubble for additional protection. The shelters appear to have been built to serve the workers of the adjacent cement factory then existing a short distance to the north. It was probably built in 1939, to be decommissioned in 1945 and demolished in 2003. (2)
