Monument record TQ 65 SE 52 - Byre at Yotes Court Farm, Mereworth
Summary
When outbuildings were demolished at Yotes Court Farm, the site of an animal manure pit next to a former byre were revealed. The pit is oval, lined with brick originally. A sloping chute is cut into one side with the former byre adjacent and a low wall on the other side. The sides had been sealed with lime mortar and were 2m deep. There was a drain along the centre of the pit. It is presumed to be of 19th century origin.
