Full Description
Medieval manorial site whose demesne included lands in the neighbouring parishes of Brenchley, Horsmonden, Marden and Goudhurst plus an adjacent park (refered to as 'the forest of Buckenwald'). Also a free chapel belonged to the manor. In possession of the Crevequer family during Henry 3rd reign. (1)
