Full Description

Site of seed oil mill marked on OS 1st Ed (1865) at Branbridges nr East Peckaham. A group of buildings are shown either side of a channel running from the Medway on its north side. Now in use as a modern industrial site though no buildings appear to have been reused. (1)

Mill. Early C19, partly refenestrated in later C19. Red brick in English bond with slate roof 3 storeys and attics; 8 bays. 7 cambered window openings and off central unloading door. Gabled, weatherboarded lucam. Mainly horizontally sliding sashes but some pivoting casements. Windows are set in recessed panels. Interior has wooden piers with bolted knees. Roof of kingpost type.
