Full Description
Small icehouse in the garden of Dunsdale House near Westerham TQ 455 540. Icehouse is built into the hillside with a brick barrel vault roof an central access hole. Near the icehouse is a small tunnel some 40' long running into a mound 50' in dia and 20' high. The tunnel rises to 6' high but is only 2'6'' wide. At the tunnel end is a more modern brick structure while a drain runs along the centre of the floor. (1)
