Full Description
One of 14 locks on the Medway between Maidstone and Tonbridge built by the Upper Maedway Navigation BCo after the Act of 1740. Lock rebuilt and enlarged 1912-13, poss fitted with experim,ental iron gates at this point but since changed back. (1-2)
