Full Description
Sevenoaks Power Station, Maidstone Rd, Sundridge TQ 4895 5558. Purpose built electricity generating station built to replace the temporary generating facilities at the former Smith's Brewery on Suffolk Place, Sevenoaks by the Sevenoaks and District Electricity Co. Opened in 1914, an early diesel powered generating facility. Ancilliary buildings removed but power hall retained as store. A red brick 9 bay building with hipped roof and tall round headed windows along both sides.
The English Heritage Monuments Protection Programme recorded this building as Listed grade II but no record exists of it ever having been listed.(1)
