Monument record TQ 75 NW 60 - Revettment on River Medway, Aylesford
Summary
In 1996 a watching brief during river defence works recorded areas of bank revettment on the south side of the River Medway near Aylesford Bridge. They are built of faggots bound with twisted bark and fixed by stakes. Sherds of 13-14th century sandy ware pottery were found in situ nearby.
