Monument record TR 36 NW 366 - Romano-British road at Hartsdown, Near Margate
Summary
A length of Romano-British road was uncovered running for about 150m. A layer of metalling composed of small water worn flint cobbles and flanked by parallel chalk-cut ditches was found. Evidence was also found that this ditch had been extended to create double ditches on both sides of the metalled surface.
