Full Description
The field is divided into 2 irregular plots by a substantial earthwork ditch, smaller ditches subdivide the E half into small closes. These are remnants of the Medieval field system. Fromn the small size of the plots these are likely to date from the Early Medieval period. The uneven appearance of the ground occurs at the site of a past barn. This is located next to Norwood house, a grade 2 listed building, parts of which date to the C16.(1)
