Full Description

Watching brief on the construction of the Northfleet bypass located 1 area which produced a scatter of struck flint material. Finds included a fine axe known as a Thames pick of Mesolithic type, (8000- 4000 BC), a complete tranchet axe, a small sub-circular hammerstone, a side and end scraper and a blade. (1-2)
