Full Description
In 1994 an evaluation was undertaken by Canterbury Archaeological Trust at the proposed site of Oasis Holiday Village, West Wood, Lyminge. A Neolithic occupation site was observed in Trench H. A scatter of flintwork and pottery was found. No associated archaeological features could be found. The flint work was quite disgonostic with late Neolithic tools being present, scrapers, flakes and a convex knife. The amount of material suggest a site occupied in the Neolithic. (1)
