Monument record TR 05 SE 122 - Banks and ditches (possible water meadow), Godmersham

Summary

A series of banks and ditches near Court Lodge Farm are thought to be the remaining parts of a water meadow system mixed with older field boundaries. One of the banks may also possibly be a river terrace, part of an old flood plain that has been left perched on the side of a river valley. There is no trace of these features on the Ordnance Survey historic maps and their date is uncertain.
