Monument record TR 05 SE 131 - Bank earthworks, former field system, Godmersham
Summary
The remains of a number of earth banks are located in fields to the west of Godmersham. These earthworks appear to form rectangular enclosures and a map of 1716 shows them as field boundaries. The features are no longer visible on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map of c.1861 indicating the boundaries of land use in the area had changed by this time.
