Monument record TR 05 SE 134 - Lynchets, possible Iron Age/medieval field system, Godmersham

Summary

5 parallel lynchets are located to the south of King's Wood in Godmersham Park. The lynchets run on a north west to south east orientation from the park boundary to the crest of the downs. These features are also visible as crop marks and have been tentatively dated to the Iron Age or the medieval period, although the evidence for this is unknown.
