Few archaeological features were located in this area, finds being concentrated in 1 layer of trench 2. A palaeolandsurface associated with burnt flints was located, along with a linear feature. Diatom analysis indicates that this context may have been deposited during brackish water conditions. (1,2)

A layer of flints was found during a geoarchaeological and archaeological watching brief on the route of the Northern Link Road. The layer could have formed naturally or may have been the result of anthropogenic activity. It is broadly of Neolithic to Bronze Age date. (3)
