Summary
Wateringbury Hall may have been the original site of the Manor of Chart (see also TQ 65 SE 12). Court Rolls from the 1560s refer to the manor.
The 18th/19th century timber framed building was burned down in 1929.

Full Description
Site of Wateringbury Hall aPM house burnt down in 1929. Building of C18/19 poss with earlier timber framed componants. Garden wall survives plus some large trees from former garden, now ploughed. Court Rolls from 1560s refer to manor of Chart and it is suggested this may be the site of the early PM and MD manor of Chart (1)
