Monument record TQ 76 NE 299 - Possible Denehole at Featherby Road, Gillingham
Summary
Possible denehole opened up by wheel of digger on playing field at Featherby Road near Grench Manor in 1993. Probing suggested there may have been adits leading off the main chamber. Though the opening was small probes suggested the void beneath to be large, up to 14m diameter. Possibly a mine or natural cave.
