Full Description
Waterbrook Farm, situated at TR 0284 4010, is first recorded in 1659. Buildings were described as tenement, in 1706 barns, stables, outhouses , orchards, gardens, yard and backsides are mentioned. The premises may have been used as a mill and 2 large ponds illustrate the possibility that fish farming and eel-trapping may have taken place. Other buildings in the vicinity consist of lodges and sheep-folds/dips. It is not made clear in the report if any of these buildings are still present on the site. Waterbrook Farm is however still a working farm. Traces of possible ridge and furrow are recorded immediately W. of Waterbrook at TR 0294 4002. (1)
