Full Description
Human remains were found during an archaeological evaluation carried out ahead of the development off Conyngham Road, Minster. The remains were located in Trench A in the northern portion of the site, close to the churchyard wall. They comprised two skulls, a long bone and fragments of other bones which included a clavicle. It is possible that the remains are in situ which may suggest that the boundary of the churchyard has changed. They could however, be disturbed remains which were deposited in their current location during the construction in the 18th/19th century of the current Churchyard wall.
