Monument record TQ 57 SE 134 - Late Iron Age?-Romano-British? Settlement, Farnol Rd

A number of features were located, predominantly post-holes for both substantial vertical timbers and smaller upright posts. The post pits were of three main orders of magnitude, large, deep cuts for substantial vertical timbers, medium, deep cuts again holding fairly large timbers and small, shallow cuts for smaller wooden posts. However it was not possible to identify any buildings. Only one group of four small post holes forming an arc could be related to each otherSome cultural material was recovered, including struck flints, daub and pot sherds, the latter dated to the late iron age and Romano-British periods (1-3)
