Full Description
In 1990 an desk based assessment in anticipation of Thanet Way was done. A series of post-holes, shallow pits and ditches were located. The overall distribution of finds and features suggests that this was a multi-period occupation site, principally occupied in the LIA and RB periods, but containing some material indicating Neo, EIA and MD occupation. Some of the IA and RB features and finds, like a fragment of a quernstone, represent parts of a field system adjacent to a nearby settlement, perhaps located on higher ground. (1-2)
