Monument record TR 36 NE 344 - Prehistoric pottery, Anglo-Saxon feature and finds, Ozengell Grange, Ramsgate

Summary

Late Bronze Age or early Iron Age flint-tempered pottery sherds were discovered here in 1977. During the cutting of trenches several features tentatively identified as post holes were revealed. Sherds of late Saxon - early Norman pottery and the fragments of a brass Anglo-Saxon cup-were removed from these features.

Full Description

LBA/EIA flint-tempered sherds discovered in root systems of fallen trees, 1977. Cutting of trenches revaeled possible post-holes and yielded Saxo-Norman sherds and fragments of an AS cup-mount in brass. TSMR site 0588. (1)
