Findspot record TR 04 NW 45 - Neolithic - medieval finds, River Stour, Wye with Hinxhill

Summary

During the examination of weathered upcast from dredging of the River Stour revealed a relatively dense multi-period scatter of finds. Amongst these finds was a large quantity of pottery and some flint tools. The long chronological range of these finds is seen as evidence of the local importance of the location as a fording point across the Stour.
