Monument record TQ 67 SE 77 - Rectangular enclosed settlement - cropmark

Summary

Cropmarks of a possible Iron age or Roman rectangular enclosure with no entrance or internal features mapped from aerial photographs. The feature appears as two lengths of ditch measuring 19m and 23m with a right-angled corner. This is presumed to be a small part of an incomplete enclosure. A linear ditch (NMR Monument: 1551274), a boundary of uncertain date, extends past the enclosure remains, appearing to be on the same alignment as the enclosure.
