Monument record TQ 67 SE 78 - Circular enclosed settlement - cropmark

Summary

This irregular shaped curvilinear Bronze Age enclosure can be seen as a cropmark on aerial photographs taken in 1978 and 2011. This ditch defined enclosure with a possible entrance to the south-west is orientated south-west to north-east. Its southern end is circa 25m wide increasing to circa 35m at the north; its length is circa 48m. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
