Listed Building record TQ 75 NW 127 - Anchor Farm, Rochester Road, Aylesford
Summary
Anchor Farm near Aylesford is a post-medieval farmstead building, probably mostly 18th or 19th century. There is a small fold yard, with the gable end of the farm house forming part of the yard. On the western side there is a long, one storey stable block built of brick with timber on the outer side. A small weatherboard barn to the north has a gabled threshing door and a pitched roof. There are also stables and a cowhouse with a granary over it. A two storey maltings(possibly18thcentury) is set away from the other buildings. The roundel suggests a change of use from maltings to hops.
