Enclosure cropmark and associated pit features near St. Nicholas Roundabout, identified from aerial photogrpahs. KCC AP 1990 run 11, number 097 shows square enclosure with numerous adjacent pit features spreading across the field and beyond. (1)

A sub-rectangular enclosure with fragments of an internal division and a second, partial enclosure forming part of a settlement of Medieval date were visible as cropmarks in NMR 3120/1018 06-AUG-1986 and NMR 4137/20 18-JUL-1988. Pits in the environs mentioned by authority (1) are probably Medieval/post-Medieval extractive pits (35256/003 16-JUN-2022, NMR 4137/20 18-JUL-1988, NMR 3120/1018 06-AUG-1986, Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015). These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (2-5)
