Monument record TR 26 NE 171 - Rectilinear cropmark features and ring ditches, Monkton
Summary
Aerial photographs taken for the Royal Commission on the Historic Monuments of England show a large, rectilinear enclosure to the east of Monkton roundabout. It is suspected that these features may be part of a medieval farmstead recorded in the area (see TR 26 NE 168). Around this are five small, single-ditched ring ditches which are now recorded separately.
