Full Description

[TQ 687 728] A bronze armorial plaque, gilt and enamelled, was found by K Saggers in a field at East Court Farm early in 1914. It bears the arms of England (gules, three leopards in pale or). Much of the red enamel and gilding remains; the edges are gilt and so presumably was the border. Thirteenth or fourteenth century. Find is in Maidstone Museum. (1) Photographs (2-5)
