Concrete. Type 24, facing North. Good condition. (1)

This feature is recorded in the English Heritage report on the Hoo Peninsula Second World War Stop Line, part of the wider Hoo Peninsula study. The report states: Second World War Type 24 pillbox, on Rough Shaw, a north west facing slope between Lodge Hill Wood and Berry Court Wood near the north-west corner of Lodge Hill Royal Naval Armaments Depot. This structure is visible on photographs taken in 1944 and was still visible on aerial photographs taken in 2013 (Google Earth). (2)
