Summary

An entrance block comprising two large concrete blocks and slots to take a steel girder spanning the gap between them. Built it 1940 as a road block, it was demolished in 1996.

Full Description

Two concrete cubes either side of roadway, recessed to receive an iron girder of length of rail. Area may be developed. Eastern end of HMS Pembroke, Chatham Maritime. (1)

Pair of large concrete block either side of gate supported rail block with 12' slot to recieve the steel girder. Raised concrte platform adjoining the eastern block has mountings for rollers to aid moving the girder. Built c1940. Demolished 1996.(2)
