Full Description
North side of track. Military reservoir, consisting of a brick-lined pit, covered by a conical earthen mound. Access shafts from top of mound. Fair condition. (1)
TQ 7562 7390. An early twentieth century military reservoir or water storage site is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and has been mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The reservoir is covered by a circular earthwork mound about 24m in diameter, with an access shaft in the top. It was probably associated with Lodge Hill Ordnance Depot (Monument 1077634) and training area. (2-3)
