[TQ 6481 7305] Dene Hole [T.I.] (1) A twin-chambered denehole was discovered in 1907 on the brow of Windmill Hill, Gravesend. It was at the back of a house on the east side of Singlewell Road, some 30 yards south of its junction with the Old London Road. A piece of Roman tile and two flint implements were found when the denehole was cleared out. (2-5) This denehole has long since been filled up and covered over, but would appear to have been situated at the rear of 8 Singlewell Road. (6) Checked and correct. (7)
