Full Description
Boundary present on 1st ed 1872 OS map 6" sheet 37. Also present as 'Old Chalk Pit' on 2nd ed OS map 1898. Boundary also outlined on 3rd ed 1908. (1)
A post medieval chalk pit is visible as an earthwork on RAF/106G/UK/1378 FV 7105 04-APR-1946. The feature has been levelled on the latest Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (2-3)
