Full Description
Known as the Perkins chalk pit, the pit itself and a limekiln are marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map of c.1861. Despite its outline being still visible the kiln and pit are no longer denoted on the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition of c.1895 which seems to suggest they were no longer in use at this time.
