Full Description
The site of a rifle firing range that has been in use during World War I and World War II. The range is located at Lydd Camp where there is other military structures used by the third Battalion Royal Tank Corps. The ranges are orientated on a north east to south west axis with the targets at the south west end. The Ordnance survey data suggests that the range was split into two, with one thousand yard range with an eight hundred yard range to the west. At the time of the Defence of Britain survey the site was deemed to be in a good condition. The range is located at Lydd Camp, Lydd. (1)
