Site of watercress beds on the South side of Bullfinch Lane where it joins the London Road, extant in 1930s but now largely built on. Formerly fed by stream flowing from South (nr Orchard Rd) and going under Bullfinch Lane to emerge West of the pub. The beds lay to the West of this stream and formed (from South to North) a series of 3 serpentine 'S' bends oriented West-East with 1 more at the North end oriented North-South. The site has subsequently been built upon with a pair of semi detached houses set at a right angle around a parking area covering most of the beds. (1)
