'Mine' variant of common Dover sqaure pillbox with overhanging roof slab and one embrasure per side. Embrasures blocked and entrance buried. Made of brick shuttered concrete and in fair condition. Located on the edge of the Hougham Battery site, at the top of the bank overlooking the A20. c.1940. (1)
Variant of the common Dover-type square pillbox (brick-shuttered), with overhanging roof slab and 1 embrasure per side. Pillbox of non-standard design for the area, having a smaller roof size and additional structure built against its side. At the edge of the Hougham Battery site, at top of a bank overlooking the new A20 road.
